Bathroom Prettys

soap I found this lovely bowl and even lovelier bar of Mistral soap at one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie. This combo also makes a great gift. Or you could fill the bowl with some tasty treats and wrap it up in a pretty vintage tea towel.
shower-curtain1 I could not resist this sweet shower curtain I came across at the discount store, Ross. A great place to bargain hunt, especially for housewares. I paid just $5.99 for it and I also picked up a Laura Ashley sheet set for only $17.99. I used those as my backdrop for the first picture, I really love the delicate textile design of both. I also love how the green adds a wonderful glow to my tiny bathroom.

Lara, Just wanted to say how I LOVE getting your emails. They brighten my day, and I eagerly open each one, knowing I'll see something beautiful. I'm very glad you are a friend of Raymond & Tom, otherwise I wouldn't have known about you and you amazing work!

Yes, the trevails of a tiny bathroom. Nothing I can do makes it look better. Hmmm...maybe I will try shopping at Ross.

Beautiful. I love my Mer de Sud soap I have in Almond...a little treat every time I wash my hands. Also, is that an Icart I spy back there? I have a couple repro prints too, love him.

No, it is actually by Claudius Chanel, a french artist from around the same time. I found this vintage print dated 1938 and signed for $5 at an estate sale. Since it is just signed Chanel, I thought maybe Coco Chanel!

I just discovered a very similar duo of prints for sale on http://cgi.ebay.com/Chanel-Print-1934-Sexy-Woman-Dog-Art-Deco-Print_W0QQitemZ190273453707QQcmdZViewItemQQptZArt_Prints?hash=item2c4d2e7e8b#ht_993wt_847" rel="nofollow">eBay for just over $200. Not as much as a signed Icart print but still a good return on my investment!

Lara!! WOW!! I really didn't realize how talented you were!! Your pictures and piewacket website is AMAZING. I only knew you in the pool room and never had the opportunity to appreciate how creative of an artist you are. You were always inspirational though. Looking forward to more amazing work from you.
