Cater to Me!

One of the nice perks of what I do, is being able to work with other talented people. For the shoot I just completed, I found a great new (to me) resource, Nancy Portaleo Catering. Also a make up artist, she knows her way around a photo shoot. She executed simple but excellent menus, box style lunches with a choice of sandwich, a really nice salad and amazing deserts.
One day, we had our choice of flank steak and chicken teriyaki and the next, pulled pork or a tasty chicken salad. Everything was good, especially a salad with goat cheese and roasted pecans and my favorite, the pulled pork sandwich. (I have an extra in the fridge for dinner!) However her desserts were the real crowd pleasers. She is known for her chocolate chip cookies (for good reason) and is marketing these under the banner, Rooster 14, she also made a yummy moon pie filled cream cheese icing. My favorite were these light little cream puffs, the filling was very creamy and cold and just a perfect little bite.

Those all look quite tasty!
(My daughter is a budding make-up artist and I know none of her shoots have as yet been catered with such lovely food treats!)
I love the chocolate chip cookies... looks like they were just scooped and ready to put into the oven! Thank you for sharing. (A life outside of Pasco:)
I agree with Debora, those chocolate chip cookies look like decadent scoops of ice cream! simply scrumptious!
Everything looks so yummy! I've never heard of pulled pork sandwiches before, are they Southern food? The chocolate chip cookies look SOOO good!
Yes, I guess it might be called a southern thing, though I think most good barbeque places would have it on the menu.
YUM! I could totally go for some chocolate chip cookies right about now. I just discovered your blog via your Orla chair revamp on Curbly. It's amazing, I love it so much! Super creative and fun. I'd love to link to it as well if you didn't mind.
I've used Nancy and she is awesome! Great food and a great Chick. I love what you wrote and the shots are great.
