Kawaii Kid
While visiting my best friend for the holiday, I also planned to take my faux niece Camiell tobreakfast for a belated birthday celebration. Cam is a reader, which delights me to no end. A kid after my own heart, whose eyes light up as the wrapping is pulled away and a glossy cover revealed. The challenge is finding something she has not read. I succeeded by checking out the nature section and finding a book called,Wesley the Owl. An avid horseback rider and lover of all animals it was an instant hit. I then found an adorableowl journal fromChronicle to go with. A homemade card and bookmarker were the final touches. I usedjapanese paper glued onto cardboard to make these.

Oh how time flies! Here she is just over 6 years ago at age six, shortly after I first moved to Georgia. Be sure to check in next week for a cool new giveaway!

What a fabulous gift! I love it when people put so much thought into a gift...those make the best presents.
I stumbled across your Blog this morning well looking for Christmas shower curtains... I love it, the pictures, little stories... I also love your friend Kristen's firefly candle holder, it's adorable and I'm very jealous we don't have any Ross stores in Canada, I like the green shower curtain too... thank you for sharing... :)
