Fresh fruits and veggies are a big draw with an excellent selection at very good prices. Below is my Grandmother's easy strawberry shortcake.
Make it!
Wash your strawberries, cut off stems, slice in half and place in a bowl. Add about 3 or 4 tablespoons of sugar, per basket of berries (I like raw, brown also works great) & a smidgen of vanilla extract. Mash with a hand masher and mix well then place in fridge. Then bake up some"pop in fresh" style biscuits according to package directions. Let cool for a few minutes, split and top with a touch of butter (optional) spoon on strawberries and add whip cream and/or vanilla ice cream if you want to be really decadent.

that last plate (birds) is just too cute ... i love it!
i have to tell you that you've completely inspired me to take pictures of personal recipes. in fact, i had this idea to take reicpes out of my mother's recipe box (which include some of her mother's recipes), take pictures of the end result, have them printed in 4x6 and somehow put the recipe on the back ... my mother gave us girls recipe boxes for christmas a few years ago and i'm going to try and replace some of the receipe cards with these picture cards ... i've always loved recipes books with pictures, so we'll see how the picture card works :)
