Southern Magnolia

One of the sweetest gifts of living in the south is it's unique flora. Will I ever again live where I have a magnolia tree in my front yard? So lucky.

This favorite vintage find, complete with exquisite tin frame was all of $18 at an Antique Mall.

Ceramic magnolias from the 30's are easy to find if you know where to look.

These are breathtaking, the first image would make a fantastic book cover. Or print for my wall;)!
How do these hipstamatic images print?

Lovely. I just posted a little image of a magnolia from my trip home last week.

We actually have magnolia trees here in California as well. Not native, of course ;-)
My brother has a HUGE one in his yard, with giant blossoms. The only bummer is that once cut, they only last about a day in water before withering and turning brown.
